Hello all,Until now I've used Deckadance in Standalone mode with an M-Audio Delta1010LT without a problem on my desktop PC. However, I've been wanting to use it as a VST within FL Studio 8 in order to use external VSTs properly, since Deckadance's internal VST host doesn't work as expected for me (I can't apply effects the way I want to).
I loaded Deckadance 1.30.9 (demo) in FL Studio 8 (registered) as a generator and assigned its output to mixer channel 1, making sure to enable multiple outputs in Fruity Wrapper so as to map everything in FL's mixer properly. That works fine. However, I can't seem to get my Hercules DJ Console MK2 to work with Deckadance as a plug-in. It works flawlessly in Standalone mode (I don't have to configure anything, Decka auto-detects the hardware and maps all -or most- of its controllers the way I would expect it to), but nothing happens in FL Studio 8.
I have enabled the Hercules console in FL's MIDI settings, and FL receives MIDI without a problem. I figured Deckadance wasn't receiving any MIDI input, so I opened a MIDI Out channel and set it to send on port 0, while configuring Deckadance to listen on port 0 as well, but nothing.
Very unfortunately, and much to my surprise, not only I can't right-click on Deckadance's controls to assign them to my Hercules manually (since RMB resets the parameter), which would have been great.. but the 'Last tweaked parameter..' of Fruity Wrapper is grayed out. Even worse, if I really want to go manual and try Browsing Parameters, the list I get corresponds to standard MIDI information rather than Deckadance's actual parameters. See picture:
