• I can't make simpler play a sound. Post by morpheus555 » Sat Nov 15, 2008 7:37 am I've read the manual, followed the tutorial, watched some youtube clips, but I cannot figure out how to make Simpler actually PLAY a sample once it's loaded.
• Simpler cannot access the full under-the-hood features when playing back a Sampler preset, but the ability to playback Sampler presets at all is a clever move on Ableton’s part. The process of converting is easy. Right-click in the Device Title Bar of either Simpler or Sampler and choose the conversion option from the bottom of the context menu.

Nov 26, 2015 Learn how to create a multi sampled instrument rack using Ableton Live's Simpler device. Simpler can now use Live's warping engine to pitch shift samples without time stretching them. Next open the “Dropping Samples” folder, You will see 3 folders. One of them is called “On Drum Rack” Drag the Ableton Live Simpler that you edited and drop it onto the folder called “On Drum Rack” Now when load samples into cells of an Ableton Live Drum Rack the sample will automatically load into the default sampler that you provided.

With four voices and the juicy sound you’d expect from analog gear, the Dave Smith Instruments Tetra has become a modern classic in desktop synthesizers. Ableton Certified trainer Xavier Jacques has created a kit of pounding, futuristic drum sounds from the Tetra, including multiple variations for each sound. The Pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, states that, for any given tool or technique, roughly 80% of the outcome comes from using just 20% of the available resources. Looking at the way many of us use Ableton Live, this 80/20 rule very likely applies to Simpler and Sampler; with most of us only ever scratching the surface of what these devices are capable of. This is fine of course if you’re happy with the musical results you’re getting, but what else could you do with that other 80%?

This happens because the quality of the internal soundcard on the PC laptop is crap and whatever it is using for its clock (even if its synced it still keeps its own time) is not very solid.I am assuming that you are attempting to do this via a network and therefore aren't using either an external soundcard (firewire or usb, MAudio Fastrack for ex) or an external MIDI interface (MOTU MTP AV, for example) on the PC. But how can I sync a Mac with a PC with the same level of reliability and synchronization? Add destroy fx to ableton mac torrent. I've got a Mac, and he's got a PC running Windows 7. A friend of mine and I want to jam together on our laptops using Live. Using MIDI to sync the two laptops is very unreliable; even with Live 8, there is noticeable clock drift, and if we want to change the tempo, the laptops go out of sync and everything sounds terrible until the MIDI clock 'settles'.On Mac OSX, this is a no-brainer: use the network MIDI interface and airport (or ethernet), and everything works great.
